Doug's Dad's Article ...

My buddy Doug is a staunch `believer' ... here is the article on his dad ...

So here it begins (at least with me) ...

I guess I kind of dismissed Bigfoot ... then I ran into a friend who takes the matter quite seriously. So I started doing some thinking, and some reading. And then another friend ... who takes it (him?) quite seriously. On the thinking end ... traveling along the dense, dark, foreboding roads of western Washington ... I began to realize ... something big could really hide there. And I began to read ... accounts of encounters. The accounts were pretty convincing. And my thinking furthered. And then my dad told me of an `encounter' he had in the wilds of Idaho. And though he didn't believe in Bigfoot ... there is really no other rational explanation for what he experienced. Or at least any other rational explanation is a lot less rational. (And I don't say this with any criticism - toward my dad.)

And from my understanding of the Bible - there is accommodation for a `Bigfoot' in the Bible ... which we may deal with in later posts.

And so my present position is this: if one removes all bias from one's mind (if that's even possible) ... and acknowledging there are certainly some hoaxes ... it takes far more imagination to believe the alternative explanations to any/many of the documented encounters (and undocumented) ... than it does to simply acknowledge at face value what people say they saw (or heard, or smelled, or whatever).
